EG Design brings the finer touches of indoor living to the outdoors

How our venture began...

The inspiration for the idea of providing quality outdoor table linens and outdoor pillows occurred to us over a decade ago.  On a shopping excursion, we came across a simple beige, cotton table cloth intended for an outdoor table with an umbrella.  The cloth had a zipper so it could easily be placed around the umbrella in the middle of the table.  We loved how the table cloth “dressed up” our outdoor space.  We loved it too much and after many years it started to look worn.  

We assumed this ingenious design would be easy to find everywhere, especially as outdoor living has become increasingly more popular.  Sadly, our search was in vain: vinyl and plastic cloths were the norm for outdoor dining, but completely unacceptable to us.  Eventually, we did find a tablecloth and a table runner from a large home interiors retailer but there was only one fabric pattern to choose from and the tablecloth came in only two sizes – neither of which fit our outdoor table.

After our search failed to produce exactly what we were looking for; we decided to fill the void ourselves.  Erin G.
